About Dr. Burke

Brandi Burke, MD, MPH (she/her)

Dr. Burke is a board-certified psychiatrist with comprehensive experience treating mental health concerns with both medication- and therapy-based approaches. She takes an intersectional, holistic approach to patient care that is inclusive of the ways that structural, socioeconomic, cultural, and biological factors affect our overall wellbeing. Born, raised, and educated in the Midwest until her 20s, Dr. Burke completed her 4-year psychiatric residency at Emory University School of Medicine and has lived and worked in Atlanta ever since. She values community advocacy and has most recently given her dollars and time in support of the Vote to Stop Cop City referendum as well as the movement for Palestinian liberation.

Dr. Burke is a mixed race, cisgender, heterosexual, able-bodied millennial woman. She is a first-generation physician with lived experience of anxiety and depressive disorders, pregnancy loss, and other mental health struggles. She applies both her personal and clinical knowledge to every interaction, and works hard to provide the high-quality care her patients deserve.
